Welcome to 4th Grade
Mr. Stephenson
Welcome to 4th grade! I am so excited to be your teacher this year. Here is a little bit about myself. I grew up here in North Logan. I went to elementary school at North Park and Greenville. I went to middle school at Cedar Ridge and North Cache and then went on to graduate high school at Sky View. After I graduated high school I moved to Oregon for two years. When I moved back from Oregon I started going to college at USU where I graduated with a degree in Elementary education. I then decided that I wasn't quite finished with school and went to work at getting my masters degree. I received my masters degree two years later in Gifted Education at ASU.
This is my fifth year teaching. I started teaching back in 2016 at Nibley Elementary in 3rd grade. I taught 3rd grade for three years. After my third year there was an opening in 4th grade and I asked to move up. I would like to teach 4th grade for a while and eventually give 5th and 6th grade a shot.
A couple fun facts about me. I love the outdoors! I love to go camping and kayaking with my family and friends. I love all sports, recently I have been playing a lot of pickle ball but I also really enjoy playing volleyball, basketball, soccer, and having home run derbies. I also love to read, some of my favorites books are The Lord of the Rings, The Outsiders, Fablehaven, Harry Potter, and many others.

What is the purpose of this website?
This website has been created to help centralize all the resources that we are going to use this year. At anytime you are struggling getting the resources that you need please reach out and let me know and I will make sure to quickly get you the help needed.
During this time we will be submitting and turning in work in a few locations. The first is our google classroom. To gain access to google classroom at home, sign into google using your school username and password. You email address is your username @stu.ccsdut.org. From email account click on your "waffle" and find google classroom.
In google classroom you will be able to access all of our assignments for science, reading, language arts, and vocabulary. The assignments on google classroom will have links that will take you to all of the websites we will be using, those sites can also be reached through links on this site. The following video is a tutorial of what our google classroom should look like.

We will be submitting our math homework and assignments through thinkcentral. Thinkcentral is our online portal to GoMath. Math assignments will not appear on google classroom, but we will keep an updated schedule of when assignments are due on this website. Just like a normal week of school, we would like the kids to complete one math lesson a day. A lesson includes the lesson and homework.
We will also have weekly writing assignments. These assignments will be completed on Utah Compose. You will find the link on this website.
